The government has released a video of surgical strikes on terror camps in Pakistan- occupied Kashmir in September 2016. On the intervening night of September 29-30, Indian troops had crossed the Line of Control to destroy terror launch pads in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The army said that terrorists waiting there were planning to attack major Indian cities. The surgical strike took place weeks after Pakistani terrorists attacked an army base in Uri in Kashmir in the deadliest attack on the military in the region in decades. At least 19 soldiers were killed in the attack.
