As I was travelling through Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, one of the things that stood out to me the most was a giant dragon corpse I could see looming in the distance. I would eventually journey there and discover that it lied at the grand altar of dragon communion and had seemingly been slain by an absolutely gigantic weapon lodged in its neck.
But what could be large enough to wield such a thing?
Join me, Zayf the Scholar, as I put together the clues and craft some theories that answer some of Elden Ring’s biggest mysteries:
What killed this collosal dragon? Is it somehow tied to Greyoll? Where was Farum Azula before it was skyborne? How do Placidusax, Bayle and Florissax fit into all this?
