This Video shows the Construction Steps of a Highway Underpass
It Includes
Survey Works - Coordinates and levels are marking by the surveyor, Level cross checking with strings.
Formation works- Soil excavation, water spraying and compaction for foundation works.
Road base spreading in layers water spraying and compaction. Using of equipment like
Shovel Machine, Bob Cat, Vibratory Roller Machine etc
Plate Load test conduction- For calculation of ultimate bearing capacity of soil
Blinding Form work, Polythene sheets placing on the ground for preventing leakage of concrete slurry.
Blinding Concrete- using Concrete pumps with operator controlling it, Ready-mix Concrete (RMC) vehicle
Concrete Tests- Compaction test and Slump tests, Temperature checking
Concreting- Tamping and Spreading by using Punchas and small shovels, Finishing is done using Bull floats and trowels
Curing- Using Hessian cloths and polythene sheets .
Waterproofing- Application of primer called polyprime SB , Bitustick application with suitable overlaps
Screed- screed concrete is provided above this waterproof membrane , thickness is 5 cm. shuttering, concreting and curing.
Base slab Steel Fixing-Fixing of Bottom steels, Chairs, Face bars, Top steels, Starter bars for the upcoming walls. Tying using the binding wires
Base slab Form works fabrication (using soldiers, GTX or H20 beams, and Plywood), Rebool oil Application for easy form work removal, Form work fixing, Kicker shutter fixing, Water stop fixing.
Materials for concrete -Generators, water, converter, vibrator needles, leveling machines etc.
Base slab Concrete- Transportation of concrete using pump, Placing concrete layer by layer, Application of Mechanical vibrators (Compaction), Operation of leveling machine(Screed Machine),finishing using Bull floats, Curing using Hessian cloth(Bori) and polythene sheet (Plastic)
Drawings- Section and elevation drawings.
Scabbling - Roughening surface for good bonding between previous and upcoming concrete
Access Scaffolding Laying (using Cup-lock Scaffolding Materials)
RCC walls- Steel fixing( Main bars, face bars etc.), Cover-blocks
RCC walls-Form works fabrication, fixing, support giving(using soldier props, push pull props, tie rods etc.)
RCC walls Concrete
Deshuttering, Curing
Mobile Cranes- Used for Steel and form work Offloading, Shifting and fixing
