Current troubles in Zimbabwe have caused large numbers to seek a better life in South Africa. However, the journey is perilous and the reality migrants face when they arrive often comes with bitter disillusions.

Most see this as their only chance to make a living and ‘show that they are somebody’, but endless bureaucratic hurdles keep them in precarious circumstances. This film contains powerful profiles of Zimbabweans entering over the border. It also offers insight into government failure to control the situation. Though filmed in 2006, little apart from today's extreme violence has changed.
