Описание: Known as Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro; Cathedral Metropolitina de Sao Sebastiao & Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian this Cathedral is located in the centre of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was built between 1964 & 1979. It is conical in form with an internal diameter of 96 metres (315 feet) with an external diameter of 106 metres with an overall height of 75 metres (246 feet). The inside area of 8000 square metres has seating for 5000 people with a standing room capacity of 20,000 people. The 4 rectilnear stained glass windows are 64 meters (210 feet) from the floor to the ceiling. The above facts are from Wikipedia's website for "Rio de Janeiro Cathedral". We were fortunate enough to see this beautiful Cathedral in Rio de Janeiro as you've seen in the video. Not shown in the video is a museum in the basement of religious art & artifacts, which you can visit while in the Cathedral.
