Class 7 Student Dies After 48-Day Battle, Tension Erupts Outside Rayagada School | Sambad

Описание: Tension prevailed in Rayagada district after the death of a Class 7 student, Biren Takri, who had suffered severe burn injuries in a shocking school incident.

The tragic incident had taken place on January 5 at Paikadakuluguda High School, where one student allegedly poured thinner and set fire to four fellow students on the upper floor of the school building. All four students sustained burn injuries, and one of them was critically injured.

The critically injured student was undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. After battling for life for 48 days, he succumbed to his injuries.

Following his death, family members and villagers placed the body in front of the school and staged a protest demanding justice and compensation. Allegations of medical negligence have also been raised.

Muniguda police reached the spot to control the situation and pacify the protesters. However, administrative officials are yet to arrive at the scene.
