Break the Chains: A Musical Stand Against Human Trafficking
This composition is one of many I have created over the years to support vital social and environmental causes. This specific piece was curated, composed, and directed for a "game-changer" performance by the members of Fathima Ward, St. Anthony’s Church, Kuloor.
I want to give a massive cheer to the 25 ward members who participated—your dedication in a small ward of 37 people is truly inspiring. A special acknowledgment goes to Janet Juliet D’Souza and Ravi Paul Ferrao, whose leadership and motivation drove this project forward.
The Mission
This performance featured budding talent and non-seasoned artists who stepped onto the stage with little backing but immense passion. Their goal? To send a powerful message to end Human Trafficking.
This cause is deeply personal to me. During my tenure as Zonal Head of Operations at Justice and Care, I witnessed the harsh realities of those caught in the traps of slavery. This composition is based on true facts I encountered while working alongside undercover anti-trafficking organizations to rescue and restore the lives of abducted minors.
Special Thanks
My family: Iris & Richard D’Souza (Parents), Shobha & Steve (Spouse and Child).
Spiritual Leadership: Rev. Fr. Victor Lobo, Parish Priest of St. Anthony’s Church, Kuloor.
Catholic Sabha, Kuloor Wing for providing us a platform to perform and showcase our fight against human trafficking.
The Heroes: To everyone who risks their lives to save others from abuse.
Say NO to abuse. Fight slavery. If you believe in making a change, please share this video.
