Parity is a pure quantum mechanical property having no classical analog like spin. Like energy, momentum, spin the parity also remains conserved in nuclear processes. It was found that parity conservation is violated in beta decay. In fact beta decay is a weak interaction and parity does not remain conserved in weak interaction.
