On "My Car Story" we're in the Suburbs of Phoenix, AZ on 1-22-24.
We're looking at a 1897 De Dion Bouton in Black Paint. The automobile comes with the 225 CC’s from a single cylinder engine and a direct drive transmission.
The car's Owner is Alan Travis. Alan’s had this car since 2016. Alan shares this automobile is literally the oldest automobile he could find that does not run on steam or coal. It’s a automobile because it has a differential. If it had a straight axel, it would be a bicycle. He shares this is one of the most complex vehicles he has, and to think all these parts and designs have come together and are able to run down the road…..AMAZING!
