On May 8th, 2025, Bungoma North Technical and Vocational College hosted a memorable Tree Planting Day, bringing together staff, trainees, and the local community in a shared effort to promote environmental conservation and contribute to Kenya’s presidential directive on increasing tree cover.

The event was officially launched by Principal Ms. Lilian Simali, with remarks from Greening Officer Mr. Mutecho Victor and Deputy Principal Ms. Sylvia Wanyonyi. The tree planting exercise extended to neighbouring schools including Nabing’eng’e Primary School, Nabing’eng’e Friends Secondary School, and Mukhuyu Primary School, where pupils, teachers, and community members actively participated in planting seedlings donated by the college.
