This is a short clip from a stage production of "The Woman in Black," adapted from the novel by Susan Hill. Structured as a play-within-a-play, the cast consists of two men - a young actor/teacher and an older gentleman who is haunted by his past - who use little more than the power of storytelling to recreate a ghostly experience that befell the protagonist many years before.
About this scene: while traveling by train to Crythin Gifford to settle the estate of the deceased Alice Drablow, the young solicitor Arthur Kipps meets Samuel Daily, a local landowner, who tells him about the strange and sudden "sea-frets" (mists) that sometimes rise over the town & its environs. Later, at the hotel, the innkeeper is visibly disturbed when Kipps mentions Mrs. Drablo & Eel Marsh House, and states that not even a real estate mogul like Mr. Daily would buy that particular piece of land.
