Rachel: Hi, this is Rachel
Kendra: and this is Kendra
R: and you're watching This Week in TV. LAst week was chalk full of announcements of both TV renewals and cancellations, so first Kendra and I want to share with you our most disappointing cancellations. Then we'll share the week's scheduling. Kendra, what are you bummed won't see another season?
K: My first pick is NBC's Awake. While more answers have been revealed than I expected for a first season, I'm still very disappointed not to see this fascinating dual-reality story play out all the way. One more season probably could have covered enough if only given the chance! What's one of the shows you're most disappointed to see canceled, Rachel?
R: My first pick is also an NBC show - Bent. Many of you may not have even heard of this cute little comedy - starring Amanda Peet as a newly divorced lawyer with a love/hate relationship with her contractor. NBC barely promoted it and then burned it off in 1 hour blocks over 3 weeks and then unsurprisingly, canceled it. I thought it was one of the more promising comedies NBC has launched in awhile, and sadly, they never gave it a chance. What's another pick of yours, Kendra?
K: My second pick is Alcatraz. Much like Awake, this one was all about the complicated mystery unraveling - and getting more complicated - so it's maddening not to get to see it finish unraveling! Though with the way Lost ended, maybe it's fine not to find out J.J. Abrams' conclusion on this one? What's your last pick, Rachel?
R: My last pick goes to the CW's Ringer. I had praised this show's improvement previously, and of course, the season ended on a giant cliffhanger. I'm not sure the show had enough plot to sustain a whole second season, but man was I hoping for at least a half season to wrap up the complicated storylines they had spun. No such luck. Let us know which cancellations have you most bummed in the comments. So, what's on this week, Kendra?
K: On Monday, House has its 2-hour series finale on FOX at 8pm and American Ninja Warrior premieres on NBC at 9pm. On Tuesday, catch the live 2-hour Dancing with the Stars finale on ABC at 9, and the Glee season finale on FOX at 9. On Wednesday, don't miss the season finale of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on NBC at 10, then starting at 8pm on ABC, the finales of The Middle, Modern Family, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, and Revenge. Also over on FOX, catch the American Idol 2-hour live finale beginning at 8. So, that's the beginning of the week, what else is going on, Rachel?
R: On Thursday we have a finale - the series finale of Awake, sadly - and then it's also the launch of some summer TV. This includes the season premieres of So You Think You Can Dance on FOX and Rookie Blue on ABC as well as the launch of Men at Work on TBS and celebrity singing competition Duets on ABC. Let us know what you'll be watching.
