In this regard, Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh held a crucial meeting with senior government officials and key representatives from the film industry.

Minister Durgesh stated that the government plans to introduce a single, uniform policy to avoid repeated ticket price hikes for every new film release. He said discussions are ongoing to fix ticket rates in a manner that balances the interests of both moviegoers and the film industry.

The minister explained that frequent ticket price hikes for individual films have been causing recurring issues, and the proposed policy aims to prevent such problems in the future. He revealed that the government is considering issuing a single Government Order (GO) for ticket price hikes. He also mentioned that discussions may be extended to include artists’ remuneration as part of the policy framework.

The move is expected to bring stricter control over ticket pricing and provide clarity for both filmmakers and audiences across the Telugu states.
