After a good beating from the waves we finally made it to the shore that lead us out to the mounds we had been looking for. We then explored the area to find 3 large sand mounds but no artifacts. But soon after we had to make our way back before dark. After a treacherous open water crossing we made it into calmer water where we discovered Cristy's kayak had been taking on water.
