This video was taken from the Moving Image Research Collections. It was filmed on January 16, 1928.
This video, taken in Havana, Cuba, shows President Calvin Coolidge giving a speech to Cuban President Gerardo Machado and members of the Pan American Conference before the start of the conference. The speech, according to the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation, is about "the good of having faith in people and the importance of maintaining good principles for the people in order to keep that faith." After the speech is done, Coolidge receives a standing ovation.
