In this episode of Drummond Ranch, the crew is taking on a big one: They're pre-conditioning 1,000 head in one day! Like our previous episode, we’re pre-conditioning again, but this day is a lot bigger… which means it’s one of those “hope you ate breakfast” kind of ranch days!
From early in the morning to the last calf moving through the chute, it’s all hands on deck. The crew gathers pairs, sorts them into the right groups, and works them through the chute to make sure vaccinations are up to date and everything is handled with care. When you’re working this many head, it’s all about staying efficient, communicating, and keeping things moving smoothly while still doing the job the right way.
It’s nonstop work, start to finish in this episode of Drummond Ranch — but that’s ranch life. The calves head back out to pasture healthier and ready to grow, and the crew heads home tired, dusty, and happy that they got it done!
