About the CBI:
India's domestic criminal investigation agency is called the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions is in charge of it. Originally established to look into accusations of bribery and official corruption, it was granted further authority in 1965 to look into matters involving multi-agency investigations, multi-state organized crime, violations of central laws that the Indian government enforces, and foreign crimes. A number of reports of irregular practices, undue political involvement, and a low conviction rate have drawn controversy and criticism towards the CBI. The Right to Information Act's requirements do not apply to CBI. India's official single point of contact for Interpol liaison is the CBI.

About the ED:
Enforcing economic laws and combating economic crimes in India are the responsibilities of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), sometimes known as the Directorate of Enforcement, a domestic law enforcement and economic intelligence agency. It is a component of the Indian government's Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue. The Enforcement Directorate is responsible for looking into and prosecuting instances involving economic offenses, money laundering, corruption, and violations of foreign exchange laws. Its main goals are to stop the creation and transfer of black money, as well as to make sure that foreign currency regulations are followed and money laundering is avoided.
