Reason why the men didn't let the father embrace his son all the way: The father was sickly & in such a poor state that he could barely walk on his own. (That's why he had a man basically carry him) So he wasn't allowed to embrace the child, the men were looking out for both father and son.

A lot of people are scared when they hear Allahu Akbar. That's because extremists use the word when they're killing, which is utterly disgusting. Those who say the phrase Allahu Akbar and proceed harm or violence are NOT Muslim. Muslims DO NOT kill. Those people may think they're Muslims but they aren't because of the way they act. That goes for all violent Muslims that thirst for war and murder. Islam does not accept violence.

Reason why women aren't there: It's culture & religious custom that women and men are separated when in groups. It's simply to protect the women & not have the men look at the women with lustful eyes. Also for other reasons, it's all respect and common custom.
