The Pitt's focus was storytelling. It sent us to land up north, being suffocated by a cloud of poison and oppression, allowing players to explore a new story where their choices will define the region's future for better or worse.

Broken Steel's focus was extending the main quest. It removed the hard stop that ended the main quest of the base game and let players continue their adventure while experiencing the fruits of their efforts.

Point Lookout is the add-on that set its sights on giving players a wide-open landscape to plunder at will. It considers itself the most mysterious and open-ended Fallout 3 DLC. That wasn't a high bar to clear as it's the only one to feature a fully open world. It's roughly 20% the size of the base game's area and is tightly packed with an all-new story, enemies, and gear to unpack.
