Since it was the first time we had Gavin as a guest, we had a bit of a discussion about his background, Youtube channel and website, www.gavinsgadgets.com. A discussion about Gavin's travel preferences then moved into a number of subjects, like trains, Hyperloop, Boring Company's tunnels under Los Angeles, as well as riding on the right or wrong side of the road. We also saw what's in his bag (or multiple bags), and discussed some of his favourite gadgets like action cameras (Gopro Hero 7 vs DJI Osmo Pocket), noise-cancelling headphones (Sony WH-1000XM3 vs M2) and mobile phones. Since it's our favourite subject, we discussed devices like Huawei P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro, Pixel 3, and even some iPhones. We also discussed a number of cheaper, sub-$200 alternatives, like the recent Nokia phones and other devices with MediaTek chipsets. We also touched on audio software and hardware, as well as video filming and frame rates for content creation.
