Special Criminal Courts are against basic democracy!

Описание: Another year, another vote for renewal of draconian powers, supported by the vast majority of the opposition.

The Minister now wants to make non-jury courts permanent, which very likely unconstitutional.

There's nothing to stop an increase in their use against a politically motivated definition of terrorism in the future..

Palestine Action in Britain has just been proscribed as a terrorist organisation. If the same happened here we could see protesters against genocide being convicted of membership of a terrorist organisation on the say-so of a senior Garda.
