FF7EC Escalation Challenge Ultima Weapon Majeure Lv. 13 (Cloud, Aerith, Lucia)

Описание: Honestly I don't think I can beat anything higher than level 13 with my current team. The only physical fire damage dealer I have is Cloud with his OB10 Skysplitter, which at this point is severely under powered. In addition I don't have Abraxas so the debuff level is only -3 at best. So unless I get Tifa's new Planet's Flaming Fist at at least OB6 I am not going to attempt any further escalation challenge battles.

Another problem I have with this fight is that I need to make sure all 3 characters have full ATB just at the time I stun the boss. And the only way to do that is to fight with full manual control for the entire party. I am not used to fighting this way, but at least I figure out the rotation after a couple of tries (but I still make mistake by activating the wrong attack during interruption phase).

Anyway, my team is a suicide team: it has full PATK and ATK buffs and practically no MDEF buff. Thus my strategy is to stun the boss with +100% damage bonus and defeat it before the end of the interruption phase. Failure isn't an option, as no matter how much MDEF I have, my team will get wiped out if I don't kill the Ultima Weapon in the interruption phase.

At the start of the battle I put on all the buffs, and delay Cloud's first attack until I have a full command gauge. Aerith keeps using Spiritual Harmony to rebuff MDEF, while Cloud and Lucia eliminates the Weapon Endures gauge ASAP. Lucia is also equipped with her Cheering Shots for some bonus ATBs (along with activating Jubilation and Heaven's Twilight when needed). It only takes 3 hits from Cloud to raise the damage bonus to 100%. After that he and Aerith both help break triangle sigils.

By the way only Lucia is able to break the triangle sigils (with her overspeed activated) when the boss has sigil resistance up. This allows me to finally break all the triangle sigils just before time runs out.

I have also cleared Lv. 10 with Tifa using Fire Blow materia. The fight is longer as she dosen't have the raw fire damage output as compared to Cloud, but since she has +70% PDEF and MDEF, she is able to survive the subsequent attacks from the boss after the interruption phase. But things can get tricky as the Ultima Weapon will continue focusing on Tifa, giving her -5 MDEF and also some high power attacks for the entire team. Thus I'd avoid getting into that part of the fight if possible. But if you survive that, then you'll face the same sigil phase again.
