Nora and the rest of the Noble family of JackKnife Creek Land and Cattle live six hours north of Edmonton, Alberta - where temperatures can get as low as negative 45 degrees centigrade!

They use swath grazing outdoors in the snow to save money, improve their land, and raise healthier cattle - sometimes all the way to April (but they aim for February)!

They grow a diverse mixture of forage in rotation with their grain crops for their cattle to dig through the snow and graze in winter months when grains won’t grow!
