This footage was shot between 2008-2010 in Korail which is a slum in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
On April 4 2012, one of the largest forceful slum evictions in Bangladesh's history took place in Dhaka's Korail bustee.
We have released this footage which shows everyday life in Korail so that people can see how vibrant, bustling and friendly this place is which was a home to thousands of families for nearly 30 years.
These ordinary people are the backbone of the country but live in extreme poverty so to evict them from their homes with a days notice has now resulted in a humanitarian catastrophe.
The Jaago Foundation are working directly with evictees.
