I have developed an Appliqué stitch made to last through several washes. I override the default satin stitch and create a new default stitch. I back the fabric with iron on stabilizer. This method is very easy. I also give a lot of pointers for using the wonderful functions hidden in your Bernina, digital sewing machine.
