Vanlife in Ksamil Albania

sorry for the delay in this week's upload but the internet & Wi-Fi hasn't been great in Albania & we've struggled to upload, but better later than never ay! :-)

This week we explored Ksamil but not before a stressful trip into sarande for blood titer tests for our dogs after phoning around many vets all over Albania the cheapest we found was 200 euros per dog in sarande, this was something we wasn't aware of that the dogs needed as they had their rabies vaccines in the Uk Aswell as health certificates but apparently this is a requirement to re-enter the EU to show they have antibodies.

There's many park ups in Albania lots that are not advertised on park 4 night and other camping sites but we didn't struggle to park up here in the middle of august at all, some sites are very cheap at 1000 leke per night others were around 25-30 euros per night with minimal facilities so it pays to pull on to sites and ask as they seem to make up there prices and change them constantly.

The currency here is leke and euros

The beaches are beautiful but sadly the back & side streets are not so great there lots of rubbish just dumped everywhere & many stray dogs with little pups which isn't nice to see.

There's not a great selection of food unfortunately, we struggled to find meals we enjoy so lived of gyros, pizza & salad for a few weeks lol

but our time here in Albania was great we met some lovely people & other vanlifers......
