Sophie Hellyer is one of the only cold water surfers in the world. Introduced as part of the ongoing Everyday Pioneers campaign, Sophie was chosen for her commitment to the exploration of challenging landscapes, which reflects the ethos of the new Hunter Field brand category. Originating from Devon, where she learnt to surf with her father and sister, Sophie is part of the esteemed Finisterre surfing collective.

Now based in County Clare with fellow surfers, the team run an organic community garden, which is self-sustainable and provides a vegetable box scheme for the local area. The philosophy of the garden is infused with a commitment to chemical-free farming, available to all. Sophie’s deep respect for the health of the ocean and of the land is reflected in their farming practices.
