Trailer: The Ellison Bay Manor

In three chapters, we learn about the largest home in the state of Wisconsin, the world's most expensive piano and the work that goes into staging an elegant chamber music concert in an isolated estate at the tip of the Door Peninsula. Featuring Midsummer's world class musicians, the film is comprised of interviews and portions of live concert footage from a repertoire that includes works by Mozart, Hummel and Liapunov.

On Wednesday, July 17, 2013, more than 200 people were in attendance at the first public event ever held at Wisconsin's largest estate mansion, the Ellison Bay Manor. They enjoyed a complete, guided tour of the home and a fantastic chamber music concert by the Midsummer's Music Festival Ensemble. A tremendous array of wine and delicious hors d' ouvres before and after the concert was prepared and served by Alexander's of Fish Creek. Young cellist Zachary Preucil provided a solo performance as a welcome to guests arriving at the estate. They were delivered inside the gates by Door County Trolley shuttles connecting the parking at Shepherd of the Bay church. Guests enjoyed a visit to the estate's theater where a film on the features of the mansion was on screen. There were two standing ovations for the concert musicians... Ms. Jeannie Yu performed with brilliant verve and dynamic control on an exceptional instrument, the Fazioli F308, a truly grand piano. The entire event was a tremendous success!
