My First Welland Steam Rally! Steam, Tractor Pulls & the Mighty Antar

Описание: 🎥 My First Time at Welland Steam Rally 2025 – Steam, Trucks & the Mighty Antar! 🚂🚜💥

As a lifelong fan of engineering—mechanical and electrical—this was a day to remember! From heritage railways to classic cars, aircraft, and most recently military vehicles, I'm always chasing the roar of engines and the smell of oil and steam.

📍 On Saturday 26th July, I finally made it to Welland Steam Rally for the first time—and it blew me away! From the scream-if-you-want-to-go-faster vibes of the old-time fairground to the incredible Tractor Pull (which I’d never seen before!), this event had something for every engineering and machinery nut.

🚛 One of the absolute highlights was seeing Mr Hews’s Thornycroft Antar in action—hauling a tank on a massive trailer like it was nothing. The raw power and history packed into that machine are mind-blowing. (More on the Antar here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thornyc...)

🏁 The play pen area was great fun too—watching vintage trucks, tractors, and more being properly put through their paces by the exhibitors.

✅ I’ll definitely be back next year—hopefully for the full weekend, because one day just wasn’t enough to take it all in.

🛠️ Whether you’re into steam engines, military vehicles, vintage trucks, or just good old British engineering, Welland is a must-see.
