🔹 What is a Literature Review?
A focused, critical synthesis that explains what a study shows, why it matters, and how convincingly it makes its case—grounding your group’s project in credible evidence.

🔹 Key Components of AS1
✅ One Article, Six Sections — Introduction; Key Concepts & Context; Author’s Purpose & Argument; Summary; Critical Analysis; Conclusion.
✅ Group Workflow — Your group selects one peer-reviewed journal article (ISI/Scopus). Each member writes one major section (≈200–250 words); collaborate on remaining sections and the APA Reference List.
✅ Unified Voice — Draft in a shared doc, keep consistent terminology, tense, and tone; update your Student Work-Log.

🔹 How to Select & Focus a Topic
• Brainstorm interests → convert to researchable questions.
• Narrow broad areas (e.g., “AI”) into specific angles (e.g., short-form video and first-year note-taking).
• Ensure the chosen study directly aligns with your focus.

🔹 Where to Find the Article
• PSU Digital Library (recommended gateway to ISI/Scopus journals)
• Google Scholar (then verify journal quality)
• Discipline databases (e.g., JSTOR, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect) as appropriate

🔹 AS1 Formatting & Submission
📌 File: One MS Word document submitted via Turnitin on the LMS by the deadline.
📌 Cover Page: Title; group members; Prince Sultan University; Course code & title; Instructor; Due date.
📌 Body: Title + the six sections + APA Reference List (alphabetized, accurate).

🔹 Common Mistakes to Avoid
❌ Choosing non-academic or off-topic sources.
