Sundek's SunSplash texture is a modification of a Sundek classic texture. The original acrylic overlay system that started it all back in 1970. SunSplash is mixed and then placed in a hopper gun to be sprayed onto the concrete surface or optional base coat. If a brick, tile, stone or other design feature is desired then a base coat is applied prior to spraying the SunSplash. A template or hand taped pattern can be placed over the base coat. SunSplash sprayed and unlike the classic texture that is knocked down it is left in its current state. An orange peel look or that of water on a newly waxed car. Once the texture has dried it is scraped to remove burs thus creating a comfortable walking surface. The raised SunSplash texture will also be cooler to walk on than concrete, brick or pavers for your pool deck, patio, driveway, walkway or other concrete areas. The Sundek acrylic finish coat of your choice is then added to provide protection and the final color. Additional aesthetic effects such as Sundek Aggregate effects to help camouflage dirt and wear patterns or the custom scoreline effect which creates a design pattern from existing cracks can be added to help you enjoy your Sundek for years to come and there you have it another decorative concrete solution from your friends at Sundek!
