Tru Starling is an up-and-coming surfer from North Narrabeen, New South Wales, Australia.
The 18-year-old surfer had the opportunity to test the improvements made on the Surf Lakes, the Mad Max-style wave pool located in Yeppoon, Central Queensland.
Before paddling out, Starling was anxious and nervous. She had never ridden an artificial wave.
But after catching enjoying a couple of sets of transparent water, she was stoked with the experience.
"Frothing! Couldn't get much better than that," said Tru Starling.
