I’ve watched five different people play it a dozen times over the years, on Dreamcast and Xbox 360; I know the story beats, remember the scares and the excellent cut scenes … but this is my first true hands-on run. That makes this playthrough a unique mix of familiarity and genuine first-time tension — knowing what’s coming doesn’t make surviving it any easier. Part 1 was a blast, and it doesn't seem to be letting up!
