What's going on, agents! Welcome or welcome back to another Division 2 guide video. :)

So if you have been optimizing your gear as a beginner In The Division 2, then I'm sure you've already realized how crazy expensive it can get. You're going to need a LOT of optimization material. Especially if you're optimizing an entire build. When it comes to optimization, fully optimizing an entire build can get really expensive. And one of the biggest mistakes that I see a lot of players make is optimizing their gear way too early. If you're optimizing random gear pieces before you even know what build you wanna run, then you're probably wasting resources for no reason.

So in this video, I'm going to show you the fastest ways to farm optimization material in The Division 2. As well as tactical assessment blueprints, SHD calibration, and field recon data. These are very easy to farm. Plus, a few mistakes to avoid so you can save both time and resources. I'll also show you how to get the blueprints for optimization material and which ones are actually worth farming instead of crafting.

So when it comes to gear optimization in the Division 2, one common mistake that I see many players make is optimizing their gear way too early. If you're still fairly new to the Division 2, it's better to wait and see what gear pieces you get and what actually works best for your playstyle first. Then once that has been established, it will be much easier to decide what's actually worth optimizing, instead of dumping materials into random pieces.

So, for anyone new, here's a quick breakdown of the materials required for optimization:

Field Recon Data
SHD Calibration
Gear Weave or Weapon Alloy
Tactical Assessment (Total of 6)

Each tactical assessment is tied to a specific piece of gear. So for example, the black tusk tactical assessment is associated with chest pieces, outcast is tied to knee pads, hyena is tied to masks, so on and so forth, you get the drift.. right? There are 6 gear weaves and 7 weapon alloys, however. So whenever you're optimizing gear on the Division 2, you will always need field recon data and SHD calibration, these two are constant requirements. Gear weave or weapon alloy, and tactical assessments may change, however.

Now you can farm tactical assessment blueprints very easily by completing level 3 or 4 control points. So that will be control points on either challenging or heroic difficulty. This also includes the field recon data and SHD calibration blueprints. You can also get plenty of SHD calibration by completing your daily and weekly projects, so don't bother wasting your crafting material trying to craft them.

You can also save up your countdown requisitions credits in order to purchase countdown credits at the countdown vendor. These also drop random tactical assessments, as well as gear weave and weapon alloy. So your best bet is to farm countdown if you're new. As far as tactical assessment farming, you can complete targeted missions like Lincoln Memorial, Bank Headquarters, and DCD Headquarters, just to name a few.

Now, for field recon data farming, you can simply complete level 3 or 4 control points, so again, that's control points on either challenging or heroic difficulty. You can also get field recon data from clearing landmarks in the Darkzone.

Now what's the fastest way to farm raw resource material in the Division 2? So here's a simple method that you can do. You can simply fast travel to any control point that you desire to clear. I would recommend solar farm for better results. The solar farm control point and the immediate area are packed with resource containers. So after clearing a control point, speak to the control point officer and donate up to 50 resources like food, water, and components in order to unlock the detection 2 perk.
