What a great brew for Day 12 of 31 Days of Pumpkin. This particular brown ale from Dogfish Head tastes like fall in a glass. Malty notes of biscuit and caramel kick off the taste, followed closely by a pleasant dose of autumn spices.
The beer finishes with a slight woodsy tone, which reminded me of a a walk in a forest during the fall. I believe I detected a faint hop flavor toward the end of the taste as well. There was so much going on in the beer--but in a good way. Each aspect of aroma and flavor was pleasant and discernible throughout the taste. This was a very enjoyable beer. Cheers!
