On February 10, 2025, Now 22-year-old Kiara McCulley pleaded guilty to aggravated second-degree murder for nearly decapitating Grace Jennings with a sword.
Kiara McCulley also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors that requires her to testify against her former boyfriend and co-defendant, Isaac Apodaca, whom police allege coerced her into killing 21-year old Grace Jennings.

In November of 2024, Isaac Apodaca refused a plea deal put forth by the prosecution, and his trial was continually delayed. And is still being delayed... He is facing murder charges as well for the killing.
