To end the night, I leave you with a promising piece of homebrew that's in demo form right now. No bosses, the enemy placement isn't complete, there's no damage, and items just drop randomly...but almost all of the components are there. The graphics, the music, it's all in.
It's got a few cute nods in it like the Konami logo, but this doesn't really do it for me personally. Do I think the SMS deserves it? Hell yeah. But we already have the NES version and I think it sounds a little better. I also prefer the classic NES graphics, so this just isn't appealing to my eyes. But that's just my personal taste. This looks like it's going to be an amazing, smooth port that's authentic to the original game but with the best bits of the Master System. If you're Team Sega, this is definitely for you.
