What is a Sentence?
A Sentence is a group of words and it is having three important characteristics.
1. It expresses a complete thought or idea.
2. It must contain a subject and a verb.
3. Meaning of any sentence may be different.
Types of Sentences based on different meaning.
1. Declarative Sentences
Declarative Sentences tell information about anything and They end with a period.
2. Interrogative Sentences
Interrogative Sentences ask a question. They end with a question mark.
3. Imperative Sentences
An imperative sentence gives command or
ask for request.
4. Exclamatory sentences
An exclamatory sentence expresses strong
emotions or feelings. They end with an exclamation mark "!".
5. Optative Sentence
It expresses pray or wish.
