I shot this extensive XC (mostly blues) trail recon at Angwin Forest on 1/10/26. I started from the Northwest end of the trail system and hit all the short blue trails in the Northwest quadrant. I then moved over to the steeper trails in the Northeast quadrant, finally hitting The Dragon, Fall Line, and Lower Blue Post, some awesome black rated trails. I finished up with a couple short blue trails, Screamer and Bobsled, on the way back to the truck.

Unfortunately, my front brake finally failed on me immediately when I started the ride, so I skipped Blue Post expert line. There was a ton of deadfall everywhere from the storms that passed thru, and I did take my time to help clean up the trails as I rode.

This vid took a long time to edit and I'm super happy it's cleared from the queue. I'm looking forward to banging out some shorter vids asap.
I hope you like the vid or at least find it useful, since it's honestly not very thrilling lol. I'm kind of stumbling my way around Angwin while looking at Trailforks. It's such an awesome spot to ride and has great blue and green trails for every skill level, while turning up the spice level on the black and expert rated lines.

Bike check:
2025 YT XL Decoy MX Core 5, Cushcore F & R, Deity Highside alloy 50mm riser bar 800mm uncut, Renthal Apex 35 33mm length stem, ODI Rogue grips (my fav), 20 psi front Assegai tire, 25 psi DHR rear, XT Di2 V2, Maven Silver brakes. Fork is 110PSI and shock is ~230PSI.
Rider profile: age 50, 5'10.5", 230lbs, riding full sus for over a decade.
