Using Digital Ocean and Namecheap

NCRC means Not Covered, Rest Covered
(Rest means other bullet points @ same level)
Variable values in this video:
{droplet_ip} = 159.89.128.157
{domain} = abstractplusplus.com
{domain} idea is to augment academic paper abstracts

Main steps:
1. Buy domain on NameCheap (NCRC)
1.0. Create account if new, else login
1.1. Lookup the domain you want
1.2. Choose and pay!
2. Get LAMP Droplet on Digital Ocean
2.0. Create account if new, else login (NCRC)
2.1. Click on Create (top right)
2.2. Click on Droplets
2.3. Choose One-click apps
2.4. Click on LAMP
2.5. Pick rest of settings
2.6. Pick a nice name
2.7. Click on Create at the bottom &check email
2.8. ssh into it (ssh root@{droplet_ip}.com)
2.9. Finish configuration (follow instructions)
3. Connect them

3.1. Connect them NameCheap side:
3.1.1. Sign into NameCheap
3.1.2. Click on Domains List
3.1.3. Click on Manage near your domain
3.1.4. Go to NAMESERVERS (scroll a bit)
3.1.5. Change it to Custom DNS
3.1.6. Set up the nameservers
ns1.digitalocean.com
ns2.digitalocean.com
ns3.digitalocean.com
3.1.7. Click on the green checkmark

3.2. Connect them Digital ocean side:

3.2.1. Verify propagation with WHOIS
//if not work, wait & retry
3.2.2. Go to Networking then Domains
3.2.3. Add your domain
3.2.4. Fill in the A record
Hostname: @
IP: {droplet_IP}
TTL: keep
3.2.5. Fill in CNAME
Hostname: *
Alias of: @
TTL: keep
3.2.6. Ping website, get {droplet_IP)
4. Test everything
4.1. Go to {domain} in browser
4.2. ssh into droplet (see 2.8)
4.3. Go to /var/www/html/
4.4. Change index.html and save
4.5. Reload {domain} in browser
