Deep in the Brazilian rainforest, plantation owner Leiningen faces an unstoppable army of soldier ants. While others flee, he stands his ground, believing human intelligence can triumph over natures most terrifying force. This premiere broadcast is considered the definitive radio version of Stephensons classic short story.

William Conrad, who later became famous as TV's Cannon, delivers one of old time radio's most memorable performances. This episode was so successful it was later adapted into the 1954 film "The Naked Jungle" starring Charlton Heston.
