(25 Jun 2016) Moody's Investors Service on Saturday downgraded the United Kingdom's credit rating outlook from "stable" to "negative", following the country's vote to leave the European Union.
The referendum result, Moody said, "will herald a prolonged period of uncertainty for the UK, with negative implications for the country's medium-term growth outlook."
James Cusack, a political commentator in London, stressed on Saturday that "Britain is technically not in control" at the moment, arguing that "Brussels are making the decisions" on the country's exit from the EU.
