The Beauty of Malampuzha (Part 01):
Malampuzha Garden:
Soon after the inauguration of the Malampuzha Dam in 1955, the Kerala Government started construction work of the Malampuzha Gardens at the base of the dam. The garden was built in 36 acres, without destroying the natural beauty of the place. Malampuzha Garden is a beautifully landscaped garden. It is full of lush green lawns, with well laid-out flower beds. The huge mangrove that was lying close-by was made into a mango garden without losing its beauty. There are pathways to watch and enjoy variety of fountains and marvellous sculptures. In 1968 and 1972, the statue of the beautiful female Demon and a hanging bridge were made respectively. In 2005, major renovation works started in Malampuzha Gardens as part of it's Golden Jubilee celebrations. The entire garden was demolished to construct a new and modern garden and later the new garden was created, which has made Malampuzha Gardens, one of the best tourist destinations in South India. Heavenly hills, rivers rippling down, lush green forests – that will bring you to Malampuzha. Now , the Malampuzha Garden is under the control of Tourism Promotion Council- Palakkad.

Malampuzha Lake:
Tourists can enjoy Boating at Malampuzha Lake, run by KTDC. There is a small waterfall and a stream near the lake. There are few mini cafe's located inside the garden. Malampuzha Garden & Lake are the must-visit places, when you are in Kerala- God’s Own Country. Hundreds of Indian and Foreign tourists visits here every day.
