NDA Heads for Big Victory in Assam | Himanta Biswa Sarma Leads in Jalukbari

Описание: The BJP-led NDA alliance is heading toward a decisive victory in Assam as counting trends show the alliance maintaining a strong lead from the very beginning of postal ballot counting.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is leading from the Jalukbari constituency, while Gaurav Gogoi is trailing in Jorhat against BJP candidate Hitendranath Goswami. Meanwhile, Badruddin Ajmal is leading in Binnakandi.

With the NDA moving toward a comfortable majority, celebrations have already begun at the BJP state headquarters in Guwahati. Special arrangements and food preparations have been made for party workers as excitement grows.

Out of 126 Assembly seats in Assam, a party or alliance needs 64 seats to form the government. Current trends suggest the NDA is likely to return to power for a third consecutive term.
