Karate Knife Defence

Описание: I don’t teach defences against the knife attacks, but from time to time I do a session where we play with the concept.

Not to teach self defence but to show students how difficult it is to defend oneself against committed attacker.

In my club we don’t focus on self protection but in health aspects so I don’t want my students to get false confidence and be delusional.

This clip is our exploration of common techniques taught across martial arts, followed by bit of a pressure testing.

Watching this clip you have to remember that we are not under Adrenalin rush/dump, there is no sense of threat, students are able to use fine motor skills and yet everyone gets stabbed.

Conclusion in my opinion is that under stress it’s near impossible to not be stabbed.
Far greater importance is on awareness and avoidance of those situations that might lead to be stabbed.
