The Haudenosaunee Lacrosse Stick by Brandon Lazore & Jack Johnson

Описание: On view now at the Montclair Art Museum is a very special lacrosse stick created as a collaboration between artists Brandon Lazore (Onondaga Nation) [@brandonlazore] and Jack Johnson (Akwasasne Mohawk) [@officialjohnsonlacrosse].

Commissioned especially for MAM’s new long-term installation “Interwoven Power: Native Knowledge / Native Art,” this stick features Haudenosaunee iconography across its surface – likely the first known instance of an artist using the entirety of a lacrosse stick as a canvas.
