Today we are taking a look at an Izzet Wizard Tribal deck that user Darshik took to a 5-0 finish in an MTGO Modern League. They had the idea of pairing Naban Dean of Iteration with the brand new Sea Gate Stormcaller from Zendikar Rising. It will double up its Enter the Battlefield ability so you get to copy the next instant or sorcery spell you cast twice. So if you copy up a Lightning Bolt, it will deal 9 damage, which is insane, especially for a combo that is 3 mana in total. It turns out there's plenty of wizards that have good ETB effects such as Snapcaster Mage, Venser, and more. In theory it sounds like it should work well, but let's give it a go and see the results.
