Dude threatens to kick my ass while riding my velomobile???!

Описание: I think there are two things going on here. Getting startled and risk management.
As far as getting startled, when I pass people they usually don't show any outward signs but it does happen to some people no matter what speed I'm traveling. They are either prone to being startled or conditions were set for it to happen. It's very common with dogs. This isn't unique to the velomobile, it could be anything passing. I think it happens to everybody, some more than others. I know it has happened to me. I don't have any solutions to this and so far it hasn't emerged as a problem that I would consider avoiding populated areas for. When it does happen to me I think of it as part of being in this world.
As far as the claim of imposing undue risk to this gentleman I am not convinced that there is more risk of collision than when he is being passed by cars on the left. In the pursuit of safety we base our actions on predictions about what others will and won't do. For example, kids riding bikes who are aged 5 to 9 years are unpredictable because they are not developed enough to fully comprehend the magnitude of their actions when it comes to life and death decisions. Because of this I pass at a speed that allows me to come to a complete stop if they were to change course to collide. They would be hitting me, not me hitting them. Another example is the jogger with headphones that has reached their turnaround point and instantly reverses course while moving to the left. In contrast is this gentleman, the only situation that may induce a rapid move to the left is something in the path ahead which would be visible to me as well and I could reduce speed to avoid a conflict. His actions are very predictable. Maybe I have reasoned incorrectly, if so I would like to read about it in the comments below.
