This is a test gameplay showing how the creation process is going in Kiddy Kong's Showtime, a fan game based on Donkey Kong Country, which takes place after the events of DKC3 and Donkey Kong Land 3. Fade out/in with music muting is working identically to that of DKC3. Everything was done manually.
The two sources (old and new) are combined into one, that is, everything is together in the same file. I only removed what was necessary to remove, such as the more solid and less advanced version of "obj_player".

The game's script is already a little different from the initial plan. "Great K. Krusty Rool" (provisional name) King K. Rool once again with another nickname, after being Baron K. Roolenstein in DKC3 and DKL3, has a plan to be a great magician. But he is using Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong as one of the main attractions. It's up to Kiddy Kong and Chunky Kong to get to K. Krusty Rool and show what a real Showtime is, putting an end to this "big circus" of antics.
The fan game will have some downgrades compared to DKC from 2-3 because I am not an experienced programmer so some things from the original are not within my reach and all work will be done based on what I know/or can do.
Very extensive parts/mini-scenes from the old version of KST will also be removed to avoid making the game so long or packed with things, in an attempt to avoid slowdowns and saving memory. However, it is still confirmed in the game: Redneck Kong, Uncle Kong, Swanky Kong, Cranky Kong and Wrinkly Kong.
The way to save the game will also be a little different, also due to my programming limitations. However, it is a very easy and simple way with "new game" and "load game". The load immediately goes to the saved location as if it were a save state. I didn't find another way to make the screen go directly to the map.
Old maps will be remodeled and another one deleted! As I show in the video, this World 1 previously had circus levels in the first level, fields (level 1 theme already shown in the videos) with a sunset theme, a cave with lava and another level (lastly) with fields.. and now we will only have field/forest/water levels. All worlds will no longer follow the fixed theme of 5 levels per world.
"Trony", the boss of World 1, will still exist, but he will be a little more different and will be the boss of World 2, in Kremcity, next to a circus level, which was previously in W1. In place of "Trony", "Bernett" (a new boss not yet programmed or created), the tree will take over the location.
Cranky's barrels will remain in the game but it will be a type of "Challenge" with harder levels like in Crash Bandicoot, on the skull routes. Just like the caves in DKC3, once you win it becomes impossible to replay, but who knows, maybe I'll change my mind, right?
Kreepy Bay also remains in the game but with small changes compared to the other existing worlds.
Some level names are also provisional just for testing, especially the map music is very short so as not to take up too much game memory.
