In this lesson, students will use guidance in the tutorial to learn about the transport system. The transport system is required by any animal that is too large for nutrients to reach all cells by diffusion alone. It is made up of the heart, blood vessels (i.e., arteries, capillaries and veins) and blood. The transport system allows the body to maintain a constant internal environment (homeostasis).
Lesson summary
Overview
In this lesson, students will be introduced to
Transport in unicellular animals.
Open circulatory system.
Closed circulatory system.
Double circulatory system.
The mammalian heart.
Blood flow in the circulatory system of mammals.
Blood vessels.
Diseases and defects of the circulatory system.
The structure and function of the blood.
Blood grouping and blood transfusion.
The structure of the heart.
Immune responses.
Vaccination and allergic reactions.
Summery
All the organisms need to transport water, food, minerals, oxygen to different parts of the body. They help in the growth and respiration of the cells. The waste products are transported to the excretory organs for elimination from the body.
Objectives
Students will be able to:
Student will be able to recall things which are require to survive
Student will be able to recall the circulatory system of human
Student will be able to recall the terms like pulse , pulse rate
Student will to able to discriminate between arteries and veins
Student will be able to explain the circulatory system with the help of labelled diagram
